Chen graduated from University of Otago in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2006. He spent the following 10 years working and managing a busy private physiotherapy clinic. Chen has extensive experience in treating elite level sports clubs: Rugby union, Rugby League, Soccer, as well as golf and squash.
Chen has special interest in managing various types of musculoskeletal and sports related injuries. He has completed McKenzie therapy, Mulligan techniques, manipulative manual therapy, western acupuncture, and dry needling to enhance his hands-on techniques. In 2014, Chen completed the Master of Clinical Practice in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, allowing him to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions more accurately and efficiently. He has also involved in supervising and teaching undergraduate physiotherapy students for many years.
Chen is experienced in manual therapy, exercises prescription, dry needling, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, clinical pilates, managing your pains and aches throughout the body.
Chen relocated with his family to Melbourne in 2016. He loves spending time with his family to explore this world’s most liveable city and the rest of Australia. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
