In addition to the inpatient service at St John of God in Berwick, we provide routine pre and post operative rehabilitation for patients who have undertaken surgery to a number of specialty areas.

Mr Andrew Tang

Mr Andrew Tang completed his undergraduate education at Melbourne University. He continued his orthopaedic training and was admitted to Royal Australian College of Surgeons as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon in 1994. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Mr Tang is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) since 1999 and holds a number of memberships to organisations such as the Royal Society of Medicine and the Australian Medical Association. He was chairman of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons (Victoria branch) from 1999 - 2003.

He has delivered a number of presentations within the orthopaedic community on advanced surgical techniques and is the author of notable research publications. He continues to conduct research activities with institutions in Melbourne and Singapore. He specialises in knee surgery including joint replacement, arthroscopy and reconstruction.

Mr Robert Steele

Mr Robert Steele is an internationally trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-speciality areas of interest in hip and knee surgery.

He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994. He went on to complete his orthopaedic training here in Victoria prior to undertaking highly sought after fellowships in the UK in lower limb joint replacement surgery and sports surgery of the knee.

Mr Steele has a healthy interest in teaching having held faculty positions at the University of Melbourne and Stanford University, California. He continues to be actively involved with registrar training. 

Mr Steele is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Medical Association, Australian knee society and Australian Arthroplasty society, Orthosport Victoria, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Mr Camdon Fary

Mr Cam Fary completed his specialist orthopaedic training in Melbourne in 2009 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Cam undertook a year of advanced surgical training in Lyon, France specialising in knee and hip joint replacement, patellofemoral disorders and sports surgery.

He completed a further year of advanced surgical training specialising in hip and knee replacement and arthroscopy in Oxford, UK. Following his return to Melbourne, Cam completed a hip arthroscopy fellowship under Mr John O'Donnell.

Mr Eden Raleigh is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive overseas surgical experience in London, Paris and Canada. Eden has been consulting and operating locally here in Berwick for more than five years.

He completed his medical degree at Monash University in 1998. After completing his surgical residency at the Alfred Hospital, he was selected into the Australian Orthopaedic Training Program in 2003, which he completed in 2006. He then spent two and a half years undergoing sub-speciality fellowship training in shoulder and knee surgery.

His main interest is complex shoulder and knee surgery.

Mr Otis Wang

Mr Otis Wang operates and consults in Berwick. His expertise cover all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including:

Mr Troy Keith

Troy Keith is a locally and internationally trained orthopaedic Surgeon, having obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree with Honors in 2003. He later went on to complete his specialist orthopaedic training in Victoria. He is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery as well as musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Mr Keith treats all general foot and ankle conditions including:

  • bunions
  • hammer and claw toe problems,
  • flat feet 
  • heel pain

He also treats sports related injuries involving:

  • ankle ligaments
  • achilles tendon
  • all foot related trauma and fractures. 

In rooms Mr Keith is able to provide Medicare rebateable foot and ankle ultrasound as well as perform ultrasound guided injections. This is known as "point of care treatment" providing the patient with complete care at the time of consultation.
