Hoda completed her Master of physiotherapy at the Iran University of Medical Science and Rehabilitation in 2008. Prior to joining the Berwick and Clyde North physiotherapy team, Hoda worked at different private practices/medical centres, in Canberra and Melbourne.
Over recent years, she has specialised in migraine and headache management, as well as cyclic vomiting syndrome. Hoda has particular interest in musculoskeletal injuries, especially spinal conditions, applying variety of hands-on and manual therapy techniques. She has worked closely with spinal surgeons overseas for pre and post-operation rehabilitation, including hydrotherapy. She strongly believes in educating the patients regarding their injuries and reasoning behind each treatment. Her experience has shown that it assists and quickens the recovery process.
Hoda is committed to continuing further training and professional development and has attended multiple post-graduate courses in musculoskeletal physiotherapy including migraine and headache, dry needling, pilates, cardiac rehabilitation, and myofascial release techniques.
She is also passionate about the latest evidence-based approach and research to treat the patients more efficiently. She has also had presentation at an international physiotherapy conference about her research on correlation between sacroiliac joint dysfunction and patellofemoral pain syndrome. Hoda has some experience in mentoring new physiotherapy graduates and loves knowledge sharing and teaching. Hoda is bilingual and speaks both English and Farsi fluently. She is available for consultation at both Berwick and Clyde North clinics.
